Building the Body of Yahusha Meshiah

We make disciples of people and teach others how to do the same.

As followers of Christ, our task is not only to clothe ourselves completely with the new man (who is created according to Yahuah in righteousness and holiness of truth) and preach the gospel, heal the sick or cast out demons.

  • Go you therefore and make disciples of all nations,[…] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world.
    – Matthew 28:19-20
Yahusha also instructed us to make disciples of all nations and teach them what he himself taught us.

Many Members – One Body

  • 12For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is the Messiah.
13For indeed by one Spirit we were all immersed into one body, whether Yehuḏim or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink into one Spirit.
14For indeed the body is not one member but many.
15If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” does it therefore not belong to the body?
16And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” does it therefore not belong to the body?
17If all the body was an eye, where would be the hearing? If all hearing, where would be the smelling?
18But now Elohim has set the members, each one of them, in the body, even as He pleased.
19And if they all had been one member, where would the body be?
20And now, there are indeed many members, but one body.
21And an eye is unable to say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
22But much rather, those members of the body which are thought to be weaker are necessary.
23And to those of the body which we think to be less respected, these we present greater respect. And our unseemly members have greater seemliness,
24whereas our seemly members have no need. But Elohim blended together the body, having given greater respect to that member which lacks it,
25that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same concern one for another.
26And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is esteemed, all the members rejoice with it.
27And you are a body of Messiah, and members individually.
28And Elohim has appointed these in the assembly: firstly emissaries, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, ministrations, kinds of tongues.
29Are all emissaries? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?
30Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
31But earnestly seek the better gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

    – 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

As we can see, we will not carry out the mission assigned to us by the Savior, alone. As individual members, we form the Body of Christ. Each of us plays a different role in it. One is an apostle, another a prophet, etc.
‏‏‎ ‎
  • What then is it, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all be done for upbuilding.
    – 1 Corinthians 14:26
  • For you are all able to prophesy one by one, so that all learn and all be encouraged. – 1 Corinthians 14:31
  • And He Himself gave some as emissaries, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as shepherds and teachers for the perfecting of the set-apart ones, to the work of service to a building up of the body of the Messiah, until we all come to the unity of the belief and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the completeness of Messiah. – Ephesians 4:11-13
