On Calling Yahuah’s Name in the Old Testament:

1. Lamentations 3:55-56 “55 I called on Your Name, O Yahuah, from the lowest pit.

56 You have heard my voice, Do not hide Your ear from my groaning, From my outcry!”

2. Isaiah 12:2-6 “2 “See, Ěl is my deliverance, I trust and am not afraid. For Yah, Yahuah, is my strength and my song; and He has become my deliverance.”

3 And you shall draw water with joy from the fountains of deliverance.

4 And in that day you shall say, “Praise Yahuah, call upon His Name; make known His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His Name is exalted.

5 “Sing to Yahuah, For He has done excellently; this is known in all the earth.

6 “Cry aloud and shout, O inhabitant of Tsiyon, for great is the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl in your midst!”

3. Genesis 4: 26 “26 And to Shĕth, to him also a son was born. And he called his name Enosh. Then it was begun to call on the Name of Yahuah.”

4. Genesis 12: 8 “8 And from there he moved to the mountain east of Bĕyth Ěl, and he pitched his tent, with Bĕyth Ěl on the west and Ai on the east. And he built there a slaughter-place to Yahuah, and called on the Name of Yahuah.”

5. Genesis 26:25 “25 And he built a slaughter-place there, and called on the Name of Yahuah, and he pitched his tent there, and the servants of Yitsḥaq dug a well there.”

6. 1 Samuela 12:18 “18 And Shemu’ĕl called to Yahuah, and Yahuah sent thunder and rain that day. And all the people greatly feared Yahuah and Shemu’ĕl.”

7. 2 Samuel 22:4 i 7 “4 “I call on Yahuah, the One to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies. (…) “7 “In my distress I called upon Yahuah, And to my Elohim I cried. And from His Hĕḵal He heard my voice, And my cry was in His ears.”

8. Joel 1:19 “19 I cry to You Yahuah, for fire has consumed the pastures of the wilderness, and a flame has set on fire all the trees of the field.”

9. 1 Kings 18:24 “24 “And you shall call on the name of your mighty one, and I, I call on the Name of Yahuah. And the Elohim who answers by fire, He is Elohim.” So all the people answered and said, “The word is good.”

10. Joel 2:32 “32 “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of Yahuah shall be delivered. For on Mount Tsiyon and in Yerushalayim there shall be an escape as Yahuah has said, and among the survivors whom Yahuah calls.”

11. Zephaniah 3:9 “9 “For then I shall turn unto the peoples a clean lip, so that they all call on the Name of Yahuah, to serve Him with one shoulder.”

12. Zechariach 13:9 “9 “And I shall bring the third into fire, and refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My Name, and I shall answer them. I shall say, ‘This is My people,’ while they say, ‘Yahuah is my Elohim.'”

13. Psalm 116: 2,4,13,17 “(1) HalleluYah. I love Yahuah, for Yahuah has heard the voice of my supplication. (2) He turned His ear toward me, in the day that I cried out to Him. (3) The bonds of death had already surrounded me, the bonds of Sheol entwined me, I fell into oppression and anguish. (4) At that time I called upon the Name of Yahuah O Yahuah save my life!”(13) I will lift up the cup of salvation and call upon the Name of Yahuah” (17) To Thee will I offer a sacrifice of praise, and I will call upon the Name of Yahuah.”

14. Psalm 18:6 “6 In my distress I called upon Yahuah, And to my Elohim I cried; He heard my voice from His Hĕḵal, And my cry went before Him, into His ears.”

15. Psalm 118:1,5,14-19 (1) HalleluYah. Praise Yahuah for He is good and His favor endures forever. (…) (5) I cried out in tribulation to Yahuah and He heard me, He brought me out to freedom.”(14) My strength and song is Yahuah He has become my salvation. (15) Shouts of joy and deliverance in the tents of the righteous: Yahuah’s right hand has revealed its power, (16) Yahuah’s right hand has risen high, Yahuah’s right hand has shown its power! (17) I will not die, but I will live, and I will recount the works of Yahuah. (18) Severely Yahuah has punished me, but to death he has not delivered me. (19) Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter and glorify Yahuah.”

16. Psalm 50: 14 i 15 “14 Slaughter thanksgiving to Elohim, And pay your vows to the Most High.”

15 And call upon Me in the day of distress – Let Me rescue you, and you esteem Me.”

17. Psalm 86: 7 i 5 “5 For You, Yahuah, are good, and ready to forgive, And great in loving-commitment to all those who call upon You.” “7 In the day of my distress I call upon You, For You answer me.”

18. Psalm 81: 8 i 11 “8 Hear, O My people, and let Me warn you, O Yisra’ĕl, if you would listen to Me!”
11 “But My people did not listen to My voice, And Yisra’ĕl would not submit to Me.”

19. Isaiah 55:5-6 5 “See, a nation you do not know you shall call, and a nation who does not know you run to you, because of Yahuah your Elohim, and the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, for He has adorned you.”

6 Seek Yahuah while He is to be found, call on Him while He is near.

20. Isaiah 64:7-9 “7 And there is no one who calls on Your Name, who stirs himself up to be strengthened in You; for You have hidden Your face from us, and have consumed us because of our crookednesses.

8 And now, O Yahuah, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You our potter. And we are all the work of Your hand.

9 Do not be wroth, O Yahuah, nor remember crookedness forever. See, please look, all of us are Your people!”

21. Zephaniah 3:9 “9 “For then I shall turn unto the peoples a clean lip, so that they all call on the Name of Yahuah, to serve Him with one shoulder.”

22. Psalm 28:1 “1 I cry to You, O Yahuah my Rock: Do not be deaf to me! For if You are silent to me, I shall be like those who go down to the pit.”

New Testament:

1. Acts 2:21 21 ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of Yahuah shall be saved.’

2. Acts 7:59 “59 And they were stoning Stephanos as he was calling and saying, “Master Yahusha, receive my spirit.”

3. Acts 9: 13-16 “13 And Ḥananyah answered, “Master, I have heard from many about this man, how many evils he did to Your set-apart ones in Yerushalayim,
14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all those calling on Your Name.”
15 But the Master said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My Name before nations, sovereigns, and the children of Yisra’ĕl.
16 For I shall show him how much he has to suffer for My Name.”

4. Acts 22:16 “16 And now, why do you delay? Rise up, be immersed, and wash away your sins, calling on the Name of Yahuah.’”

5. 1 Corinthians 1:1-2 “1 Sha’ul, a called emissary of Yahusha Messiah by the desire of Elohim, and brother Sosthenes,

2 to the assembly of Elohim which is at Corinth, to those who are set-apart in Messiah Yahusha, called set-apart ones, with all those calling on the Name of Yahusha Messiah our Master in every place, theirs and ours:

6. 2 Timothy 2:19 and 22 “19 However, the solid foundation of Elohim stands firm, having this seal, “Yahuah knows those who are His,” and, let everyone who names the Name of Messiah turn away from unrighteousness. (…) 22 And flee from the lusts of youth, but pursue righteousness, belief, love, peace with those calling unto Yahuah out of a clean heart.”

7. Romans 10: 8-17 “8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” – that is, the word of belief which we are proclaiming:

9 That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahusha [Yahuah is Salvation] and believe in your heart that Elohim has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, and so is saved.

11 Because the Scripture says, “Whoever puts his trust in Him shall not be put to shame.”

12 Because there is no distinction between Yehuḏi and Greek, for the same Master of all is rich to all those calling upon Him.

13 For “everyone who calls on the Name of Yahuah shall be saved.”

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without one proclaiming?

15 And how shall they proclaim if they are not sent? As it has been written, “How pleasant are the feet of those who bring the Good News of peace, who bring the Good News of the good!”

16 However, not all obeyed the Good News. For Yeshayahu says, “Yahuah, who has believed our report?”

17 So then belief comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Elohim.”
