The Feast of Trumpets occurs on the 1st day of the 7th month of Tishri.
The 1st day of Tishri or the first day of the 7th month as the New Moon of Tishri is the Yom Teruah or Day of Trumpets / יוֹם תְּרוּעָה /- a 1-day feast called by Yahuah Elohim. The name occurs in the Scriptures: Genesis 3.23.23-25; Genesis 4.29.1-6 .

What is the true meaning of the feast today?
I’m sure it’s not clear, for some particular reasons. The entire theology of the New Covenant is rooted in the Writings of the Torah and the Prophets and Fathers of the Old Testament. The New Testament leads to greater light and understanding. The New Testament clearly speaks of the sound of trumpets.
In light of the New Testament, we can see that the Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah – is not a remembrance of something that happened in the past (such as Passover), but a reminder of what will happen in the future.
„31 And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Matthew 24:31
„52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:52
„15 For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep.
16 Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.
17 Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
The Feast of Trumpets points to the coming of Yahusha, our transformation from the corruptible to the imperishable, and the establishment of the Master’s reign. The fulfillment of what the disciples asked in Acts 1:6 – “…Master, will you rebuild the kingdom to Israel at this time?” I think many laughed at this question, but not Yahusha. He only said that Elohim the Father knows the time.
I’m not saying that the Master Yahusha will return on the Feast of Trumpets, because no man knows the day or the hour, but I can certainly say that this is the day when every believer should call out – come, Yahusha, come! We should trumpet the shofars and express our desire for redemption – not just the forgiveness of our sins, but the transformation of our bodies and the entire earth.
Every bride dreams of her bridegroom. And while we cannot force the Master to return, we can hasten His return : 2 Peter 3:12 by expecting Him, praying and dreaming of Him.
Paul wrote to Titus that we should be “looking for the blessed expectation and esteemed appearance of the great Elohim and of our Saviour Yahusha the Messiah” Titus 2:13

The Scriptures teach the Truth of who will be saved and who will not:
“1 Blow a shophar in Tsiyon, and sound an alarm in My set-apart mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the earth tremble, for the day of Yahuah is coming, for it is near:
2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains – a people many and strong, the like of whom has never been, nor shall there ever be again after them, to the years of many generations.

So take some time apart today, if only five minutes, and pour out your heart to Yahuah Elohim. Tell Him of your anticipation for the return of Yahusha, the Master and Savior. One day the Trumpet will sound and we will meet Him. Our bodies will be transformed into supernatural bodies and we will return with Him to the Heavenly Jerusalem : Rev. 19:11; Zech. 14:3-5, where He will establish His Kingdom. HalleluYAHUAH!
